If you want to build a successful digital product, you need a development team that is aligned on the vision, strategy, and objectives that they’re trying to achieve. The most effective way to do this is with a sound product strategy.

Product strategy is not a presentation or form to simply be filled in. It's a never-ending communication process about what the team learned regarding their users, business, and competitors.

Product strategy answers two key questions: Where are the knowledge gaps about the users and the business that the team should try to learn? And what should the team build next? Good product strategy communication leads to better decision making and alignment for the team, and higher commitment. In short, it empowers the team to deliver a good product.

In his presentation Director of Product Jan Mikula explains the important aspects of product strategy, how it should be created, and how it should evolve.

Jan is a former UI developer who lives for great digital product. He believes in close collaboration between devs and designers and is a huge advocate of modern agile and lean methods like Shape Up. Out of the office, he plays floorball for his beloved hometown team of Jablonec.
